Friday Egg

This is one of my all time favorite eggs.  It is a brown chicken egg (about 2 1/2 inches tall) showing salmon swimming over river rocks.  It was purchased by one of JoJo's daycare teachers for her mom's Christmas present. They live in Washington, so she was really excited to see this egg because salmon is such a big part of life up there.  I love it when my eggs find their perfect home.  I was sad to see it go, but it will be happy and loved where it is now, so that makes me feel better. Yes, I am kind of sappy sometimes.

Picnik!

How did I not know about this site before?  Picnik is a photo editing site already connected to Flickr, but if you go directly there and sign up for a free account (you can upgrade if you need more turbo-power!) you can edit, add effects and text, all kinds of editing.  I am ashamed to say that even after taking a digital imaging class, I am still woefully under-educated on how to use Photoshop.  This is definitely more my speed.  I edited the new header on this blog using only Picnik!

Check it out!

Back to work!

Thank goodness the holidays are over.  I want my real schedule back! Returned to volunteering at the HRC yesterday and slowly things are returning to normal.  I have JoJo today, so this will be short and sweet.  She is currently eating applesauce and watching Super Why so I can get ready for the day (which shouldn't involve blogging, but you know how it goes).  We are working on getting her used to the big girl bed.  On day 4 now and she is sleeping through the night but getting up about an hour earlier than normal.  Napping is pretty non-existent unfortunately.  We will keep trying.
